Quick, free way to find Twitter elites by location

Posted on: April 29, 2011

Twitter grader has a useful feature if you need to identify and reach out to people in specific locations all over the world.

It shows the top 50 ‘elite’ and also allows you to click next to each user and go direct to Twitter with a pre-prepared tweet mentioning them. However you will probably want to think about how best to engage – e.g. a follow, then re-tweet, then conversation, rather than steaming straight in with the standard mention saying you found them on the tool.

Also – just because this list of people have been found on Twitter, doesn’t mean they need to be approached and connected with on that platform. There may be other ways to reach them – check their Twitter bio for links to their website / blog  /Linkedin if you do not have time to, or would rather not, build up a Twitter relationship.

Furthermore – this is but one tool, the elite according to one algorithm – use others too if possible.
