Domino’s Pizza: social media feedback drives innovation

The core opportunity social media represents for enterprises is providing a fast feedback loop between itself, potential and existing customers. This is a great example of how criticism can be used to help the development of a business and drive product innovation:

Isn’t it interesting how many “forgotten” brands are really embracing social media and doing well with it? Domino’s has been taking it on the chin for years now from other companies, but is probably the most visible pizza brand right now.

Allowing customers to interact, provide feedback, and then doing something with it (see innovation) is awesome to watch when it happens.

Props to Domino’s for doing this.

Yes, I think in this way, as you say ‘forgotten brands’ can take over ‘popular’ ones. I argued a few weeks ago that this is the trick Facebook is missing, to base their business model on facilitating collaboration between people and products:
